I wanted to write you. I have become a fan of your books. I could not understand what a woman could possible contribute to M/M romances, and I am pleased to say that I was totally wrong,Your stories are delightful. There is sex in them, but it is not there for gratuitous reasons. I enjoyed the one about the Sheriff and Robby/Rowena. It seemed a bit slow to start but then was a page-turner after I got more into it.I love the way that you developed the characters in the Men of Lancaster County. I very much enjoyed the first book but was blown away by the emotion of the second one (Tender Mercies).The development of character of Samuel was breath-taking, The story you conveyed about how he was mistreated and cast out like a piece of trash caused me to do something I have never done before reading this genre of books - I wept.This is not something that is easy for me. I grew up with that BS that men do not cry. I am a 64 year old bear of a man, married to my husband of 40 years and I can't think of anytime I have ever been affected like this. The quiet strength of Samuel in the face of his adverse treatment and sad life was truly uplifting to my soul. I am having to wipe my eyes as I type this.I also enjoyed the development of Benny and was again moved to tears at the findings that Benny led them to. I am also a big animal lover and was horrified at the treatment of the pigs.Of course, I cried at the end as well. The love between Eddie and Samuel was palpable all through the book but their relationship really cemented at the end.This book was the most thought-provoking and emotionally-uplifting book I have read in a long time.
